This exhibition by Tracey Thorne opens to the public on the 10 May and runs until 15th December 2024 in the Gallery at The Library of Birmingham, 3rd Floor. Free entrance.

The exhibition is an artist response to archives held in the Boulton & Watt Collection in the city archives, they shed light on the sale of steam engines to sugar plantations in the 19th C. The exhibition includes new photographic work by the artist and historical artifacts from the Boulton & Watt collection, as well as the artists own collection.

We have a free social event hosted by Tracey at the exhibition on Saturday 15th June 11am-1pm. We will be going for a pizza afterwards. Booking is essential via this link.
