CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

We are holding a Community Photography exhibition in a new Photography Gallery at The Old Print Works, Balsall Heath.

Friday 20 March 2026 at 6:30pm

Organised as a collaborative initiative between  PRISM, IGERS Birmingham, and Darkroom Birmingham, the exhibition celebrates the opening of  Birmingham’s only dedicated exhibition space for photography. The Gallery is intended as an opportunity for amateurs and professional photographers to display new and exciting photography work both digital and analogue.

Submit up to 3 digital images focussing on the theme 'Community' to this exciting exhibition and come to the launch event on March 20th! Everyone who submits images and registers on arrival will be entered into a raffle to win a newest generation Kindle Paperwhite. Complimentary refreshments will accompany talks and informal networking throughout the evening.

All submitted images will appear in a projected reel in the new gallery, with at least one photograph from each submission printed as an A5 print and displayed on panels.

Submit your images via this link. If you have analogue images try to scan them in and submit them; if this is not possible bring them along on the night and we will find a space for them. This is open to all photographers based in Birmingham and the West Midlands or images drawn from the area/people

We thank The Old Print Works and Birmingham City Council for their support.

Deadline for Digital Submissions March 4th 2026
